I saw these being discussed on another Reddit group. It made me stop and think … when I was the age of the two older H kids? I wanted things to play school, or play Little House in the Prairie, or pretend I was a motel owner (I know probably odd but I had a fascination with motels because we RARELY stayed in them when I was growing up. We had a slide in camper for our pickup and that’s what we stayed in).
When my kids were younger, they asked for things like a vet kit for the one who wanted to be a vet, or musical instruments for the ones who wanted to learn music (two of our three kids have side gigs within the music world. One makes EDM music and the other sings/plays guitar at gigs around the city). One did a million crafts and has a side hustle making stuff for people. However all 3 have full-time jobs to provide for themselves/their families.
But when I saw these? It made me stop and look at what they truly represent. A group of children in this generation that only know being on the internet. Being filmed. Making content. All 4 H kids look into the phone’s camera automatically. We can see when they know they “need to perform” like little performers in a traveling circus. “Get the applause and accolades and you’ll get a candy bar” type crap.
Being a teacher. Being a motel owner. Being a vet. Being a musician. Being an artist/crafter. All pretend play that could be the first steps on the path to a career as an adult. (Hey. Even my playing as Little House on the Prairie. We homeschooled so I had that one room schoolhouse from 1994-2016 — especially 1999-2012 when I had all of 3 in grades between K and 12 all at the same time. And I was going online college during that time too)
Influencers… Vloggers… very few make a sustainable living at it. Kids need to explore the real world. Real jobs. Influencers and Vloggers will be replaced by AI I’m sure.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the H kids got stuff like this OR toy makeup to start their own makeup line for kids that’s quick and easy. /s
The dangers of posting kids in swimsuits online.
Heck … he could have left off the prepositional phrase at the end (“in swimsuits online”) and it would still be factual!
I wish the Hehner’s would TRULY quit saying “the haters say this” or “the haters say that “. It’s not just “haters”. Professional investigators, detectives, and other children advocates SAY this.
I can’t imagine doubling-down on what I read about my family on Reddit like they do. They care more about proving us wrong than taking one minute / 60 seconds saying, “I wonder if there is any truth in what they say about posting the kids online?” And taking time to google “the dangers of posting kids pictures online”. Heck I just searched. Took me less than 10 seconds to get hundreds of links like the ones in the 2nd screenshot.
I say this often: I am truly worried about their kids —- from the mental/emotional damage from the bullying they WILL receive from peers as videos are found online to the real danger of what could happen to them physically.

I forgot to start an OT thread last week (and I have a good reason — I’ll update later on this thread!! lol)
I’m at our lake house and working on my iPhone and iPad, so if there’s any booboos, I’ll fix it when I’m home tonight. :)

Followers who left this week? 468
(Followers change since 1/1/26: gain of 15,704. But she had a HUGE gain in Jan: 34,123 and another in April: 13,524)
Followers Lost since May 1: 15,704
Paying subs: up 1 this week to 389
Loss since 1/1/25: 2357
Jan 2025: 2,746 subscribers @ $2.99 each =$8210 per month
Today: 389 @ $2.99 each = $1163
She has potentially lost over $7k per month
(That’s a rough estimate based on if all 2746 had stayed and no new ones joined). That’s $84,000 per year
Subscribers got 1 new post this week. (They’ve only gotten 7 posts and 1 reel in 15 weeks!)
Engagement rate is still very low 0.16% and average comments dropped from 102 last week to 63 this week (and I bet 1/2 of those are from herself as HLB! Haha)

Up one from last week. At one point, she went up to 390.
This morning, I read the statement another influencer (initials EK — she doesn’t deserve me even saying her name at this point) put out about her post/picture where they’re on a boat out in the water and her child doesn’t have a life jacket on. For anyone, that’s absolute stupidity. But for her???? It’s beyond that. She is the influencer who lost a child via drowning less than 2 years ago (but but but “he was only alone for “10 minutes” “ …sound familiar to the spaghetti video this week the Hs posted!?!)
But EK put out a statement / apology and said they “will do better” but “will make mistakes” and it had made this horrific situation even worse. I am just utterly appalled at all of it.
But what got me was the wording. It’s like I was reading something Meme wrote … except not a bajillion 🙏🏻🤪🤷🏼♀️ in it.
So I got curious. I looked at EK SocialBlade stats. She has followers leaving (1k-2k a day). Then I looked back to see how long she’s been losing. And holy cow Batman. Appears she’s a buyer too!!! On 7/4, she gained 49.943 followers … followed by 7439 and then 4006. After that her count only raises by a few hundred a day. How is this ok that these people can “buy” followers??? And why??? How is that a dopamine hit for them to have FAKE followers!?? I don’t get it!?!
I’ve attached her “statement” and her SocialBlade numbers.
But this is where I thought about our influencer couple : it makes me wonder if a) somewhere deep down all this (negative) attention is feeding her need to be “seen” — because I truly feel the negative attention makes Meme giddy. And b) does Dung or Meme see a tragedy like this and see it as a *tragedy or jealous of the attention she’s getting?? I mean … we recently saw their own kids on water with no life jackets … and I know they had to have heard about this drowning!
My brain just can not understand craving popularity over having common sense
Rant over …

They don’t always match?!?!? When have they ever NOT matched!?!?

I just saw a post on another Reddit group and was curious if anyone has started to see community notes on Instagram yet? I'm going to include part of what I saw on the other group and what I found online about community notes:
----- (from post on Reddit)
I am not encouraging anyone to do a thing. I am gonna talk in a general way instead.
In a world where influencers get rich off of your ENTIRE amazon cart, pretend to be a part of a community with you but will delete you and block your advice we have community notes. FTC wont crack down on these shillers and TikTok won't either so until this manipulation ends try to get involved in community notes. You can apply on meta.
This one has passed a threshold to be published but those in the program, if you agree with a community note and not just this one, please rank it as helpful. They really can't be taken down but take that extra step.
There's a lot of notes pending that only those in the program can see but are waiting on votes.
----(from IG's help link about how to be able to be a part of leaving community notes)

I personally haven't seen any notes yet but I hope it's a way to stop this child exploitation that so many "influencers" are doing.
EDITED to add: I am NOT encouraging ANYONE to sign-up to write any notes on any pages or any type of contact with anyone!!!! (as a mod, I received the "don't touch the poo" warning. So I wanted to reiterate: I am NOT encouraging ANYONE to touch anyone's poo!)
I truly am just curious if anyone had seen them yet and I do hope it will help end child exploitation by making their followers more aware of what these influencers are doing.

This is from Amazon’s FAQ page
READ THE LAST SENTENCE!!!!!
If you click ANY Amazon link, it puts a 24 hour cookie on you and ALL your purchases will earn commissions for whoever’s link you clicked. Even IF they haven’t shared a link for the products you buy!
IE: you click Memes shameless link then go buy dog food. She will earn $$ from that dog food purchase!!!
AND I’m posting another pic in a comment (can’t add it to main post) but if an item is added to a cart the commissions can be for up to 90 days for that item!!!
Whatever she thought she was doing is NOT helping her follower count or engagement rate
I went on a Google mission today. Found a couple of interesting sites. I haven’t had a chance to check them out fully to check legitimacy. However, I am pretty confident they’re probably pretty accurate.
I’ve added some screenshots that I’ve marked some things to note (red boxes and yellow highlights added by me)
The websites are hafi pro and hype auditor (on the top of 2 pics)
