Trying to identify a song used in a Slick Rick remix/mash-up.
A while ago I heard a really cool remix of Slick Rick's "Mona Lisa", using an entirely different instrumental. It was played during a DJ's mix show on the radio, and when the song was ending one DJ said that it was dope and the other mentioned that he had found it the other day, so it doesn't seem like it was something they had remixed themselves. The beat sounded so familiar, but I've never been able to place where it came from.
While it was playing, I tried to ID it with my phone, and was actually given the song "Man Up" by Joe Buhdha feat. Scorcher, Kamar, 2Tone & Klashnekoff. It's not the exact same beat, but the most prominent part is the same, which can be most clearly heard at 0:07-0:13. So I'm assuming that the "Mona Lisa" remix and "Man Enough" just used the same sample (whether it be from an original song, or just a preset loop).
Does anyone know of any other songs using that same instrumental, or perhaps know where the sample originated from? Or even better, does anyone know where I could find the "Mona Lisa" remix that uses it? Any help would be much appreciated!
