So rewatching the series again (the usual) and never really paid attention to the scene where Arizona, Callie, Derek and Meredith are discussing buying the hospital and Arizona snaps at Derek going on a rant about him feeling guilty because his hand is working and he survived the crash and how he wants to save everyone as the hero because his huge ego…
Now while I think we can all agree that Derek does have a strong ego - but he is also an extremely compassionate and forward thinking person who genuinely wants what’s best for everyone and why would he feel guilty considering Meredith and Cristina got out completely unscathed (physically) while Derek suffered for months with issues with his hand/arm and the main thing for me is the hypocrisy of Arizona saying that when her wife who wasn’t even on the plane who has trying to play hero/leader of the survivors since day one all because she was feeling guilty about not being on the plane
