My doctor prescribed me 40mg, I was on 20mg for 2 months but I now have been told to stop my birth control by my gyneco yesterday for some time due to health issues with it and I was on it for 10 years.

I am scared to stop it and at the same time have an increased dose of prozac, has anyone had any experience coming off the pill whilst changing dose or being at the beginning of Prozac?

Any tips should I wait on stopping it until I see the effects of the new prozac dose? I have a next check up appointment in 3 months to assess how I feel on this dose

Hi guys, I have an appointment with my doctor on Friday to discuss about renewing the dose or changing.
I’ve been now on my 2nd box of 28 days so almost 2 months on Prozac, I was prescribed 20mg due to struggling with BED.

1st week was amazing I had no food thoughts and even it supressed my appetite and I thought wow this is how normal people live with no food thoughts. First month was good, but now on the second one and I have had anxiety the past couple days, the binge has come back and constant food thoughts also obsessive shopping habits which I never had, I feel super restless and can’t seem to focus with work always need to get out of the house run errands or change place at home to work, my attention span has been super small, and the worst is that I barely sleep, getting 2/3 hours of sleep half the week so insomnia, I don’t have issues falling asleep but wake up after couple hours so like 10pm asleep and then 1 or 2 am am wide awake and can’t fall back sleep.
I have been feeling super restless but then in terms of mood I do feel happy and happier than before although I have no depression I was prescribed this for the BED not anything else. Also I have noticed brain fog and forgetting things which makes me very worried. I only have dry mouth side effects which I have gotten used to, but the first month it was fine I am mainly noticing all these symptoms on this new pack

My question is do you think upping the dose to 40mg will help this or staying more on this same dose or even changing meds? I have read that to treat BED the average is 40-60mg Prozac that’s why
