Mova 600 error station charge
If I ended up taking apart the charger of my Nova robot, it’s mainly because it’s no longer under warranty… and as usual, problems always seem to appear right after the warranty expires 😅
Here’s the issue:
When the robot is sitting on its charging station, the green LED flashes during charging and then stays solid once the battery is fully charged. At that point, everything works normally with no time limit issues.
However, when the robot leaves the station to mow, the blue LED on the charging station turns solid. The problem is that this blue light eventually turns off completely at random: sometimes after 40 minutes, sometimes 50 minutes, or even an hour later.
To better understand what was happening, I installed a camera to monitor the station’s behavior. I read that there may be error codes depending on how long it takes before the light turns off (around 10 seconds in one case, 30 seconds in another), but in my case the delays are much longer and highly inconsistent.
As a result, when the robot’s battery gets low, it correctly returns to the charging station, but since the blue LED is off by then, the charging cycle does not start. The robot keeps searching for the station, loops around, and eventually goes into error mode.
So I was wondering if anyone here has experienced a similar issue or might have some ideas to help move the diagnosis forward. flair
