Finally Joined the WHOOP Gang

Finally got my whoop! Been lurking around this subreddit for a while and finally decided to give it a shot

Used Bevel with my Apple Watch for 2 weeks and loved it, but just couldn’t keep up with the charging. Excited to see what this beast does for my fitness journey

Whoop billing country?

Hey everyone, I’m about to receive my Whoop band today, and I’m not sure which billing country to choose.

In the “Where do you live” section should I enter India or the USA? I reside in India, but I have an American credit card. If I select the USA, will it help me with cheaper renewals replacements or other services?

Best price to buy a new whoop?

I’m planning to buy a new whoop peak and wanted to check what price people are actually getting it for.

Currentl, whoop.in is showing around 25,200 after discount, few third party websites are selling it for roughly 26,000.

Is ₹25.2k pretty much the best price available in India right now or is there a cheaper way to get one?

Edit: I don’t have anyone coming from the USA or any other country. I saw a few posts in the sub doing this group buying thing. Will I get a good deal if I buy it like that?

Best credit card for fuel related spends?

Current CIBIL Score: 777
Age: 20

Income n Employment Status: 80k per month, Self employed

I currently have 2 credit lines:
Axis My Zone – ₹15k limit (FD backed)
Snapmint – ₹40k limit

Somehow Snapmint has more faith in me than Axis 😭

I recently got rejected for an unsecured Axis card, so I’m trying not to collect another rejections & hard checks.

I also recently opened a saving + current account with HDFC. I’m planning to maintain 2 Lac+ AMB anyway and the RM/Branch Manager said that if I do, I should get a pre approved card offer down the line. I’m taking that with a grain of salt because… bank employees do be saying things.

Has anyone here actually gone through this? Did maintaining a good balance really get you a decent pre approved HDFC card, and roughly how long did it take?

Monthly Expense: Around 40k

Top Monthly Spend Categories:

- Fuel: 15k-20k
- Zomato + Blinkit: 10k
- Shopping/Misc: 5k-10k
- Bills & subscriptions: 3k-5k

Preferences for Credit Card Features:
My main goal is saving as much as possible on fuel. I don’t really care how the savings come cashback, reward points, accelerated rewards, fuel surcharge waiver, partner offers, anything. If it reduces my fuel bill, I’m interested.

I’m also not tied to any fuel brand. I have every major gas station near my house, so I’m happy with whichever network gives the best value.

Since I was recently rejected by Axis, I’m also open to FD Backed card if they offer good fuel benefits. Approval certainty is a nice bonus.

Reward Preference: Whatever gives the highest effective return on fuel.

Given my spending, which fuel focused CC would you recommend? It can be cashback or points I just want the maximum value on ₹15k–20k of monthly fuel spends.

Would you wait for the HDFC pre-approved offer (if it actually happens), or just get a good FD-backed fuel card now?

20M freelancer looking to get my first proper unsecured card will HDFC care about relationship/account balance?

Hey everyone,
I’m 20 working as a freelancer and trying to understand how HDFC might view my profile when it comes to getting my first unsecured credit

my current situation:

- CIBIL score is 777 (😭 nice number)
- have an Axis Bank FD CC with a 15k limit
- I also use Snapmint with 40k limit
- Since I freelance I don’t have salary slips but I can show inflows and maintain a healthy bank balance

I’m considering opening an HDFC Classic account and maintaining around 1.5-2 Lakh average monthly balance, if that would help build a stronger relationship with the bank.

My experience with Axis hasn’t been good, they didn’t seem to consider me for any upgrades or unsecured cc despite having a relationship with them. I’m hoping HDFC might be more relationship oriented in this regard.

I’m not specifically looking for card recommendations right now. I’d just like to understand how a profile like mine is typically evaluated by HDFC and whether building a banking relationship with them is likely to improve my chances.
