Receiving payments before I even know who my caseworker is?
Pretty much the title. I have been harassing them for 3 years, and I finally got my 'person with a disability' decision–yay! A month went by, so I called to see what the hold-up was on getting my caseworker assigned and getting the benefits started. The same day, I got a call back from the intake caseworker who has been handling my case. They mentioned that if there are any changes to my income, housing, etc., I should notify my caseworker, and that was that. So that basically confirmed to me that they are not my caseworker. Maybe a week later, I received my letter and the payments started, but I have no clue who I'm meant to be dealing with. This makes me afraid to use the money, like it's a trick and they will make me pay it back. Has anyone experienced something similar? Will my caseworker reach out, or should I call and find out who they are?
