Afrocentrism is Racist, and I am tired of pretending it is not.

Now the type of Afrocentrism I am talking about is not the kind where it is celebrating African American culture, or African Culture. Celebrating a culture or people is not inherently a bad thing.

Rather the kind of Afrocentrism that I wish to talk about claims that X European /Asian/Native American/Polynesian/you get the point Culture was actually Black and African all along. The problem of course being that this is complete bull.

Now to me there are two main issues with this form of Afrocentrism. The first being that it literally is just Cultural Appropriation. The second that this form of Afrocentrism implies that African Americans, and Subsaharan Africans have no culture or stories worthy of telling. Since they must steal the culture and history from elsewhere. Which mind you is untrue.

Lastly I find it annoying that anyone who seemingly calls this out gets labeled as something they are not. That label being racist (which my as well mean cool dude by this point). As they are incapable of forming an actual argument using facts and can only use social cudgels and Psuedo-History.
