Noam Chomsky, sorry about the second pic couldn’t resist
Hey there, studying in Strasbourg for the semester and I’m very interested in history and am looking for good history museums, specifically military history (this includes castles and the like, been to Chateau Haute-Konigsberg a few years ago and am definitely returning). No particular era really, also would there be something cool regarding the maginot line?
I don’t know what it is about this book and it’s community that brings people to coming up with all of these outlandish theories that are completely divorced from the text. While there are some parts that are intentionally left ambiguous, and some people point to unreliability in Richard’s retelling, it gets stretched to excess all to often that it makes me wonder why people even read the book since they seem more interested in making up fan theories. Nothing wrong with digging into the text or conducting deep analysis of it but the constant firehose of completely wild “fan theories” don’t add anything to the understanding or discussion of the book. Go write fanfiction, don’t try and read it into the story. Not calling out anyone in particular because that’s mean, but people know the kind of theories that I’m talking about.
