How do I handle getting new PC's caught up on the plot from previous sessions
Hi everyone
I am currently running Dragnacartas CoS Reloaded for a party of 4 friends. Recently, 3/4 PC's died in the span of 2 sessions, and that led to 3 new PC's being introduced in a short span of time.
This led to a situation where 3/4 PC's didn't know what have happened during the first ~20 sessions of the game, and leaving one player as the string connecting them to the plot.
That particular player though, isn't always the most initiating when it comes to roleplay, and has trouble remembering plot points at times.
Two of the other players, take very detailed notes, and are usually the ones to bring up when something relates to an earlier plot point, but they are more hesitant in doing so now, since their current PC's weren't present at the time.
I absolutely don't want to push my player to roleplay more than he is comfortable with, but at the same time, it leaves some awkward pauses when people expect him to take the lead, since he is the only one who has met an NPC before, or been in a town before, and he doesn't.
Any advice?
