Am I paranoid or are they giving a non-answer and beating around the bush?

A lot of these companies will say it's "plant-based" and or "not animal-based" but really they mean there are animal ingredients but just only a small amount... As a vegan I absolutely can't have any animal ingredients. Should I press more or give up and throw away the Silk milk I have in the fridge? :(

It's also the fact that they're owned by Danone, an animal-based company. So I don't trust them. I know I should abstain from all these companies but I need to eat something and I have allergies and illnesses, so their protein milk seemed like such a good meal replacement for me when I can't eat a meal, which is often. But now I feel like I have to throw it away. On their website they never use the word vegan either, but Silk Canada does? It's so weird. But I'm scared to ask further cause I have trauma from being abused so I don't like annoying people or making them mad.

Please let me know what you guys think!
