I'm an experienced AV Integrator in the west coast and will be moving to Michigan to be closer to family before the end of the year. I'm sure that I'll be able to find work but without knowing the cost of living and the expected income for AV work in the area it's difficult to start searching for a place.

Anyone else work AV in Michigan? What kind of wage do you think a tech with 8 years experience in both residential and commercial might expect to start out at? I certainly prefer to work commercial, and am willing to travel.
