Is it worth going to gun shows ?

I was looking to pick up an affordable handgun and rifle . Was curious what they had.

But also heard the gun shows just sell everything at msrp so they are a waste of time

There is one in canton this weekend. Thinking of going .

Are these a waste of time ?

Can you read into a big law partner personally handling an issue/case ?

So, I’m not an attorney. So, im unsure if you can read into a partner level attorney personally handling things.

So, imagine a situation where there is a dispute between a doctor and his patient . And it’s caught obvious that the patient is going to file an ethic complaint and request his records for evidence .

The doctor responds by bringing in a big law firm say the size of Seyfarth and puts a partner on the case that specializes in malpractice .

Would it be reasonable to assume that the doctor or his liability insurance assessed that there was actual risk if they brought in a big law firm and a partner level attorney to handle all correspondence, record production, etc .?

Or is a big law partner handling a customer complaint not really indicative of anything ?

I would have thought that an associate would handle email , drafting responses, and delivering records . And a partner would be too expensive , busy , or important to handle an issue with an unrepresentated party looking to file regulatory complaints

Received an extremely detailed board complaint. (Vague submission)

Anyone ever have a patient submit a very exhaustively researched complaint against you as a board complaint?

I had a patient research all the ethical and compliance standards . Then write a very detailed exhaustive complaint against me . It doesn’t read petty, more academic and impersonal except for the extreme detail put into the complaint

I am fairly stressed as this caught me with my pants down. My notes were not detailed, so I have little to defend myself with

So, any one here have experience that can help me process this ? I am taken this extremely personal, even though I know the issue that set this off was not my fault , it is just falling to me due to me being the therapist.

It’s just the extreme detail and effort. Just feels so personally attacking to me even if it was written cold and impersonal

Anyone ever have a patient submit a research brief against you as a board complaint?

I had a patient research all the ethical and compliance standards . Then wrote dozens of pages of violation by violation research brief outlining alleged ethics or documentation violations.

A number were documentation issues

And he didn’t just list scattershot violations, he wrote it in like a prosecutors brief format and argued pretty much of complete failure on the care provided to him .

I was kind of shocked. I figured it be a page or three. But, he must of had AI cross reference a code of ethics and just eviscerated my clinical notes which admittedly was a bit lax as it wasn’t a very complex case

I had a good relationship with the patient which is the surprising thing . It was another provider that caused the main issue that caused him to go nuclear

I am fairly stressed as this caught me with my pants down. I was pregnant last fall and it wasn’t a complex casso my notes were not detailed and He had an issue with another provider and took it out on me as the referral.

But, I still feel like it was a prosecutors brief and it feels really personal to have someone attack you like this .

So, any one here have experience that can help me process this ?
