Throat pain for 5 months from vaping… even after quitting completely

I’ve been dealing with chronic throat pain for almost 5 months now, and I honestly want to know if anyone has experienced something similar after vaping.

I used disposable vapes heavily for a long time. Then one day I started getting throat irritation that slowly turned into constant pain and inflammation. The important part is: from the moment the pain started, I completely stopped vaping. I have not touched a vape for nearly 5 months now.

Despite quitting completely, the throat pain is still there.

Symptoms:

• Constant throat irritation and pain

• Burning sensation at times

• Dry/tight feeling in the throat

• Sensitivity to strong smells and smoke

• Some days feel better, then symptoms flare up again

• Talking too much sometimes makes it worse.

What really worries me is the timeline. I expected improvement after quitting, especially after months, but the symptoms never fully disappeared.

I’ve also been to doctors more than 8 times in different clinics and places, and honestly I still haven’t gotten real answers or noticeable improvement. That’s part of what’s making this experience mentally exhausting.

I’m starting to feel frustrated because I quit completely the moment this started, yet I’m still dealing with it almost 5 months later.

Has anyone here experienced throat pain lasting this long after quitting vaping completely? Did it eventually heal? I’d really appreciate hearing honest experiences.

NOTE: I’ve been taking medications for acid reflux and GERD for more than 10 years, and I never had throat pain or this constant irritation until I started vaping 5 months ago. I’ve been suffering with this for 5 months straight, so trust me, I already considered possibilities like GERD long before making this post. I came here because I’ve tried almost everything you can think of. The reason I made this post is simply to know if anyone else went through the same experience after vaping, and how they managed to recover from it.
