14 year old cat with swollen lymph nodes, nasopharynx/larynx inflammation. Vet suspects lymphoma or inflammatory reaction, waiting for cytology
Hi everyone,
I took my 14 year old female cat to the vet because she suddenly stopped eating and became very inactive. They ran several exams endoscopy, MRI/CT scan, etc. and told me it could be lymphoma because of the size of her lymph nodes, but that it could also be an inflammatory reaction.
I’m attaching the pictures/reports. I’ve spent day and night talking to ChatGPT with the reports attached and reading different Facebook groups while waiting for the cytology results. The wait is honestly killing me, and I’m praying it’s “just” an inflammatory reaction.

Based on the pictures, what do you guys think? I know everything looks swollen, but couldn’t it still be inflammatory rather than cancer?
Corticosteroids help her a lot, she starts eating again and almost behaves normally after taking them. She also had a fever last week, and an antibiotic injection helped her a lot for a few hours too, which gives me hope it may be inflammatory.
I know only cytology/biopsy can give a real answer, but while I’m waiting for the results, I’d really appreciate any experiences or opinions from people who’ve seen something similar.
Any help is greatly appreciated, I am going insane from overthinking and theorizing about it, thank you.
