help needed with next steps

I work at a small company that recently went through a reorganization. As part of it, one person was promoted into a manager role. I struggle to work with him, his emotional intelligence seems low, his leadership skills are weak, and he doesn't treat the team as peers. His main focus appears to be his own visibility rather than the team's success.

He is well-established with upper management, and they seem to see potential in him that the rest of us don't.

Is there any way to address this situation constructively, or is leaving the only realistic option?
