2 extra years to boost GPA
Currently I have enough credits to graduate but due to extremely unstable mental health in the first 2 years, I fumbled bad and as a result my current cGPA is 3.3 after last winter. I think I have become much better at studying and just clocked a 3.8GPA last semester (and 3.6gpa last year) on hard weeder courses like CSC165 and PHY356. Currently, I am also doing extremely well in my summer courses (PSY202, PSY203, PSY290, PSY260 and PSY280) and should be able to average at least 90 across all 5 of them (goal is to average 95+). However, my main problem is that I currently have no research experience and it seems like my current lack of research experience and low GPA is preventing from my cold emails and applications from succeeding, leading to a classic catch 22 situation. I am a physics specialist, psych major and likely CS minor and definitely want to go to grad school. According to my calculations I can get the GPA up to a 3.6 with a 3.9+ in L3 years if I shell out the money to do another 2 years of undergrad with summer courses. I am applying to jobs and have no luck so far due to the bleak job market. I honestly don't know how to proceed.
