Opaline Wave by Ahmed Al Maghribi
Opaline Wave opens with a bright burst of citrus, mainly lemon and bergamot, giving it an instantly fresh and uplifting feel. As it settles, it transitions beautifully into a soft floral heart of jasmine and lily of the valley, adding a clean and elegant touch.
The dry down is where it really stands out. Instead of leaning into tea notes like Louis Vuitton Imagination, Opaline Wave develops a smooth sandalwood and musk base, which feels creamy, natural, and never synthetic.
Overall, it’s a very clean, citrusy, and slightly aquatic fragrance—perfect for hot weather. It works especially well for summer and office wear, thanks to its fresh and non-offensive character.
Many people compare it to Imagination, but I find Opaline Wave more appealing because of its beautiful sandalwood-focused dry down rather than a tea-heavy profile.
In my opinion, it’s also better than Blue by Ahmed as a summer clean scent.
Performance is impressive:
• Concentration: Extrait de Parfum (around 40% oil)
• Projection: 2 to 2.5 hours
• Longevity: 10+ hours
Overall 9/10
Leen by Ahmed Al Maghribi is technically a women’s fragrance, but after trying it at the Ahmed store, I liked it so much that I bought it for myself.
The opening is a beautiful mix of jasmine and rose, which later transitions into violet and lily of the valley. In the dry down, I get a soft sandalwood base. The most prominent note to my nose is definitely violet — it stays noticeable throughout the entire wearing experience.
What made me buy this fragrance is the feeling it gives me. It reminds me of sitting in a chilled AC room while it’s extremely hot outside, surrounded by fresh mixed flowers. That cool floral atmosphere is exactly the vibe this fragrance gives 😄
Projection is moderate, around 1 hour on my skin, but the longevity is impressive — easily 8 to 10 hours. Overall, it feels unique in my collection, and I’m really glad I picked it up.
Zimaya Treasure is a very fresh, calm, and sophisticated perfume, and I think it’s one of the best clones of Bvlgari Tygar. It opens with citrus and musky notes, then slowly settles into a woody, fresh, and slightly powdery scent. It keeps me feeling fresh all the way through the dry down, and I’ve received so many compliments from colleagues. It’s versatile enough to wear in all seasons, and I find myself reaching for it everywhere.
The projection lasts around 1 hour easily, and the longevity is more than 8 hours on my skin.
Louis Cardin Illusion is an amazing perfume for a very good price. It leans more sweet than fresh, but still has citrusy notes and a very clean scent profile. It feels calm, elegant, and gives the vibe of being in a luxurious hotel. The projection lasts around 1 to 1.5 hours, and the longevity is easily about 8 hours on my skin.
