Help with step off deck
I'm looking for some advice or ideas in what to do with this future step off the front of my deck. As you can see in the picture the yard slopes up away from the deck (not sure who graded and thought that was a good idea). I had to have the deck this low because of the patio door height. If I put a traditional step in there will be an awkward step from the yard up to it unless take away a lot of the grass and try to flatten it out. I was thinking about doing stone step that is flush with the grass and has edging up against deck to stop any water intrusion and rot. I was also thinking about putting landscape edging up against fascia and just running grass flush to the height I need step.
Does anyone with a little more experience than me know what would be the best long term solution here.
