Im in Amazon for 1.5 months in Europe
Note: I haven’t received any doc shared by manager /HR yet .

Manager planning to put me on PIP after long coaching period — need advice( location; Europe)

Over the past five months, I have been placed in a coaching/focus period intended to support my performance improvement. During this time, I attended regular 1:1 meetings with my manager, often lasting up to two hours and occurring twice weekly, that was very stressful, never received constructive feedback, only grilling sessions.(I tried to engage with the feedback, but I found the process very stressful and honestly struggled emotionally at times.)

Yesterday my manager verbally informed me that he plans to put me on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) and is currently waiting for HR approval of the document. I haven’t received anything formally yet.

Question:

  1. Whats the probability of clear the PIP?
  2. How to buy time? 2 weeks sick leave and 3weeks Annual leave can help me to buy sometime, is it possible?
  3. What should I do? Im anxious currently.

Amazon Ireland - PIP

I’m looking for some advice because I’m feeling quite stressed about a situation at work.
My manager informed me today that he plans to put me on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). He said he is waiting for HR approval before sharing the document.
I feel the situation may be unfair, but I want to handle it professionally.
I have a few questions:
• Is a PIP usually meant to help improvement or is it often a step toward exit?
• Should I raise concerns with HR if I believe the assessment is unfair?
• Would taking stress leave delay or affect the process?
• What should I do before the first PIP meeting?
