To those with GAD, how do you learn when youre overreacting or not?
I'm 21 now, and Ive been diagnosed with GAD. There isn't a time I'm not anxious, it's constant. I wonder about so many things, and I'm not entirely sure if what Im thinking of is me overthinking or something I do actually have to think of.
I heard somewhere that anxiety is what happens when your brain is trying to help you survive, and it's something you NEED to think about... but I'm not sure whether the things my brain is telling me are things I need to worry of or not.
It doesnt help either I'm AuDHD, not to infantilize myself and say all who are AuDHD can't notice certain patterns, but personally when it comes to life, Im not the smartest street-wise.
So, have any of you been able to recognize what things in your head to listen to vs tune out?
