Been a very busy week and a half or so at work so I havent gotten to work on the hive fleet as much as Ive wanted to. Though today, I managed to finish building everything as well as making custom flying bases for the gargoyles.

Since everyone seemed to like the first test model, I'll do my best to post updates on progress until the entire 2k army is finished.

Few progress photos as well as the test model for thr Gargoyles. Hopefully will have a Warrior painted up this weekend if work permits as well as the world giving me a break. (Last week was the big 3-9 and everyone was on vacation so I covered some shifts.)

Super happy with the end result of the test model, wasnt too sure with how watery the AK and Vallejo paints were but they ended up blending well.

Step by step below if you want to follow along. Will post more pictures throughout the army's painting progress as well. Can't wait to see some of the bigger bugs in these colors.

Still need a hive fleet name as well.

Friend suggested "Vapor" for vaporwave styled colors.

Another joking called it "Gawddamn tea", a FFVII reference to my favorite character's famous line.

Havent touched bugs let alone 40k since...6th? Looking forward to starting up again now that funding allows (also helps working at my LGS). Any suggestions for what detachment to take for a heavy gargoyle/devourer gaunt screen themed list? Thinking big groups of warriors as well, not tournament styled list, just old school "rule of cool".

Arizona green tea totally not an inspiration for a color scheme at all...
