Hi! I just got a positive diagnosis for methane and I almost cried tears of joy. I’ve had at least a year getting progressively worse of severe bloating and stomach pain, constant bowel movements, nausea and overall hopelessness when nothing I eliminated from my diet improved anything. I feel validated and have hope for treatment.

I was prescribed XIF and MET antibiotics for the next 15 days. My doctor didn’t say I had to change my diet at all, but I really really want this to work. Should I go low FODMAP at the same time ? Have you had experience of antibiotics without low FODMAP and did it work for you?
