Skin Tag Removal 1 Day Post-op Extreme Pain
Hello! I’m a 23 y/o female looking for any advice or recommendations from people who’ve experienced anal skin tag removal surgery or something similar. I had a hymenectomy and anal skin tag removal at the same time yesterday and I’m suffering majorly. I can’t even cough without my butt hurting immensely. I was given only a days worth of 2.5 mg of oxycodone which is basically gone now. Is it common to only be prescribed this much? The pain is so unbearable that I can’t imagine that is correct. I would like to think I have a high pain tolerance as I had my gallbladder removed and felt pretty okay the next day. This is brutal. I have a donut pillow and I am taking MiraLAX and colace (twice a day as prescribed). I can’t do sitz baths because of the hymenectomy so that option is out of the question. I’m prepared to rinse with water rather than harsh wiping after pooping for the first time but I’m horrified at the idea of passing a bowel movement. I’ve been using ice (for both areas) as recommended. I contacted my doctor about alternative medication options for pain management and haven’t heard back and I’m just wondering if anyone has any tips or can offer consolation. :/ I can’t wait to feel better.
