Guys, I'm looking for any serious reason to get Stem Controller Day 1 just for Steam Frame. I have Xbox controller already that I really love and I'll probably mostly use Frame's controller with Steam Frame anyway (even for playing 2d games... I mean, that's the entire point of Frame Controllers's unique buttons placement).
I get it, Steam Controller will be 6dof tracked inside Frame... but so will Frame's Controllers. There might be some demo that will show off some unique Steam Controller use cases with Frame (ala Astro's Playroom on PS1), but beyond that? I don't see unique controllers abilities getting much traction in normal games.
In any case the best tactic is probably to wait for Steam controller to be out in the wild for some time and wait for some real users reviews.
