Golden Retriever Tooth

Hi everyone. My 6-year-old golden retriever loves chew bones, and I usually only give them to him during grooming to keep him occupied. Today afterward, I noticed a small piece of tooth on the bone and found that one of his teeth is chipped. I feel awful and plan to contact the vet, but I’ve never dealt with this before. Does anyone know what the vet typically does for this and what the cost might be? How serious is this? He’s acting fine, but I know dogs are good at masking pain. Any advice is appreciated.
