Girl's Gotta Be Workin'!
My 1.5 yr old adopted GP/ASD girl has been such a joy (and a learning curve). She came to me very scared, but is blossoming into a confident girl.
She CAN'T STAND when I'm in the back yard relaxing. We've moved into a new place with a fenced-in back yard and she loves it! However, if I'm simply sitting in a chair and reading a book she will run back and forth and let go her big woofers, spittle flying everywhere, at every butterfly fart within a one mile radius.
If I'm up and moving around and "working," she's chill and unworried. She'll keep an eye on me and migrate with me as I pick up sticks, work on landscaping, etc. Once I sit down, oh boy! The anxiety comes out!
I'm currently single and living alone, so unless friends and family are visiting or we're out at the ranch, I'm her only "flock" to keep watch over.
