I am very new to Wicca and have not even actually done any rituals or anything, my question is, for the offering before prayer is it okay to use something like bird seed, I am aware that it is not actually food for the goddess and god but after prayer or rites disposal of the offering bothers me, if I put a cookie on the plate then after the rite throw it away it feels disrespectful to the gods, but bird seed after rite can be given to nature and feed the life the god and goddess created. Please let me know your thoughts on this and whether or not it is okay.
