Can you all give me advice? I’m 26 years old and trying to join the Army. My goal is to get an Option 40 contract, but I’ve failed the ASVAB three times, with my most recent score being a 30. Now I have to wait six months before I can retake it. My recruiter offered me the 09M program, but from what I’ve researched, it doesn’t seem to lead to strong job opportunities. I’m trying to decide whether I should wait the six months and focus on improving my ASVAB score, or accept the 09M option and try to get 11B instead. I’m also concerned about my age and feel like I don’t have much time left to make this decision.
