Hello,
I’m in my late 20s and recently transitioned from a tech sales role to a pm role. I had to move across the country and away from my only family in the country for this role. And in between jobs I got a lot of traveling done (10+ weeks)
Now that the traveling is done, and the job has settled in these last few months. I’m just not sure if I am happy with my decision. The job is fine, it’s a job that pays well and a lot of people would want this role. I’m just unsure whether it’s worth this giant move I made and missing time with my family for the foreseeable future.
I’m currently feeling a lot of regret. And I’m unsure whether that’s actually just the feeling of not having anything exciting going on, either outside of work or in the future. Or if I need to reevaluate and maybe try to find a path back home. Ultimately, I may have some light depression returning from the past. Which adds another level of confusion to all of this.
Part of me just wants to leave and travel again, which just would put me back in this spot in the future. Just with less money.
Has anyone been in a similar position, and what did you do?
