Edit: okay first of all, I apologize. It was originally a post about "how to play Yi" But turned into a rant midway and I forgot why I even made the post in the first place.
But that's the thing, he felt weak. Am I just setting him up poorly or what? Because even when I let the enemy wave crashed into me, while those Yis are in a bush nearby, they don't even attack, even while I'm CC-ing the enemy under my tower.... Another is while all the enemy dies and we're all doing Baron or dragon, the Yi just farming buff or clear wave that doesn't even need to be cleared.
The rest below is just the rant.
I don't really play master yi, only played him in aram or any other gamemodes besides ranked. But my experience with them (as ally) is always bad this season, and I don't play much before this season. Is he really weak?
Let me just give one example (from the top one in the image) because I think it's the worst.
- He died in like minutes 2 and stay 0-1-0 until 10-11 minutes into the game, never even tried to gank once.
- while the enemy team are all (except ADC) fighting Herald, he stay still in Midlane for like 10 seconds and then finally go to dragon, and he almost got it stolen by the enemy.
- after that 10 minutes of pretty much just farming, his engage is always bad,
low health and 2nd dragon about to spawn but he chase a sett and got himself killed,
doesn't change his ward to radar so enemy literally can see him before he got close,
he got into the enemy side of wondermolen from top to bottom blindly while there's no ally or vision nearby and get himself killed,
while the enemy literally has elder dragon buff.
- while we have Baron buff and pushing the enemy (all 3 lane), he clears the jungle on our side when the whole enemy jungle is free to take.
- he also trash talk quite a lot despite having pretty much no contributions.
Now, to be fair to him, I do play poor at the beginning. I'm doing ranked because i thought the event that needs you to play game is bugged (my AAA ARAM doesn't count) and I get lazy, especially because I'm still emerald, I didn't expect to get ganked at lvl 2 or 3. But I still managed to win my lane and get 3 towers by myself while helping here and there.
The other yi pretty much doesn't gank, get objective, or split push either. So is he actually just weak or am I just unlucky? Because I don't really play Yi, I don't know his current state
