Can a defense attorney share evidence (text messages from a rape victim) in a motion to excuse his client from appearing at the arraignment? The text messages do not relate to his ability to appear (he is military and stationed far away). The document is publicly available on the county website. It seems highly unethical to present evidence publicly prior to trial.
