Recent stress test showed Inferior lateral ischemia
I was in the hospital about three months ago after multiple tests I finally was able to do the stress test where they inject the chemical through you, and it showed inferior lateral ischemia. The nurse called and gave me the results yesterday and they put me on a statin only 5 mg 46y female no previous heart issues. I eat healthy and workout regularly, but this comes on when I exert myself. It has come on since January 2026.
My PCP is out of the office for the next week. My question is we are getting ready to fly to Europe, which is an 8 to 13 hour flight. Do I need to worry about anything or do anything for those high altitudes when it comes to my shortness of breath? My shortness of breath comes and goes, but when it is there, it is definitely present when resting. in my eyes because of the symptoms, I don’t understand why they’re not doing the stent route but again the nurse just called and told me this yesterday. I’ve actually never met the cardiologist. I’ve only ever seen his PA and with my doctor being out of the office it’s just not sure what I need to do to prepare for this trip or if I should be pressing the cardiology office for more information.
