Lemon-scented bleach for DNA decontamination?

So my lab usually uses bleach to decontaminate bench tops and equipment used for nucleic-acid testing. However, I made the error of purchasing LEMON scented bleach instead of the regular Clorox we usually buy 🥲we usually dilute it 1:1.

Do yall think it’s alright if I used this lemon-scented bleach like I would the regular clorox?

Protein purification from plants

Hi everyone! I’m relatively new to plant mol bio. Part of my project is to extract some high quality proteins from plant leaf. Downstream applications include Bradford Assay, Western Blot and protein chromatography as there’s a protein of interest I intend to isolate.

Method of lysis chosen is flash freezing and grinding with mortar and pestle.

Now I’m trying to find what’s the best option for the purification part after lysis as my project is on a time crunch.

What’s worked for you?

After years of struggling with ADHD and discovering my passion, I’ve finally hit my academic peak— First Class Honours in Bachelors of Science!

I got awarded First Class Honours for my Bachelors in Science, Biomedical Science!

This is the first time I’ve ever done really well academically. I’ve always been above average (fluctuating between borderline failure and almost-distinctions) and , but never hit the benchmark of excellence, but this is probably the highest academically I’ve gotten and I’m really proud of myself!
