Exam PA preparation - how to prioritize studying
I passed SRM in January, took ASTAM in April and felt good about it, so now I'm moving on to preparing for PA.
I still have my Coaching actuaries subscription to SRM, and I have been refreshing myself on the material since I really didn't learn SRM all that deeply as I only had 2.5 months to prepare for the January SRM sitting before immediately returning to ASTAM material for the April sitting.
I also am in the last stages of the hiring process for a new job after a transitional break, so I will have access to reimbursement for PA materials.
I'm curious:
How much time should I spend really nailing down the concepts in SRM before moving onto PA material?
Which PA manual or subscription did you use, and how helpful was it?
Would it be reasonable to go straight to studying the published past exams and solutions before getting into a PA manual?
Thanks in advance for your insight!
