Hi all i am after some advice as i am getting mixed of opinions. My duel fuel cooker says it needs 5.5kw. The cable power that is 2.5mm cable . Some electrician say this fine and doesn’t need changing. The other say it does need changing to 6mm.Could anyone guide me please? I have attached pictures of the cooker . I even had an electrian tell me it’s fine and signed the certificate? I recently bought a house so don’t know much about it or how the privious owner was using it

Hi guys, looking for some advice on a quote. I'm in the NW and need a new consumer unit and a long cable run to a dual fuel cooker. Been quoted £900–£1k with certs. They also want £135 for an EICR test before doing the work. Does the price sound reasonable for the area, and what's the point of the EICR test in this scenario? Appreciate any insight!
