Is this Balayage?

I got my hair dyed yesterday at a salon and don’t feel like I’ve got what I was asking for but I’m new to this and would love opinions!

I asked for teddy bear blonde balayage and gave a few inspo photos (I’ll put them here!). I feel like my hair doesn’t look like it has balayage and isn’t blonde at all?

I have pretty healthy naturally light brown hair and haven’t dyed it for 16 years. I’ll attach a photo of my hair today so you can see what I was given compared to the inspiration photos.

If I was to go back would it be really bad for my hair to get it corrected to the blonder balayage that I was hoping for?

Thank you!!

First time homebuyers - what amount is reasonable?

My husband and I are looking at buying our first home but are not on the same page with what is both a realistic and financially smart decision.

For context : single income household with annual salary of $155k plus commission. No debt and $300k in savings. Two kids under three and currently paying $5,250 per month in rent (including utilities) which we both think is nuts.

Given our financials, what would you consider to be a reasonable house purchase price for our family given:

  1. We want to stay in the GTA and be in a safe neighborhood with good schools for our kids
    2. Cheapest realistic rental
based on neighborhood for us would be $4,200 + utilities.

Or would you say we cannot purchase yet and should continue renting for now?

Thank you for your input and opinions!
