Moved in basement apartment of LL's house in October of 2025, was told the Reno's on her unit above would last only a couple more weeks, they lasted until February of 2026 of daily construction, in and outside of local bylaw hours
December 2025 my apartment flooded in the master bedroom,partly in the secondary bedroom, directly outside of both bedrooms which that area is also directly on my kitchen/infront of my bathroom. This water was trapped between LVP and concrete subfloor for two weeks. It also flooded in my living room which trapped water for a few days-a week. The only remedial actions taken were to initially run a dehumidifier in the master bedroom 24/7 and then a moisture/thermal test was done on February of 2026. The test concluded that there was no excess moisture at the time ( two months after the flood took place) so therefore no mold is possible. So my LL refuses to further investigate which is now going on 6 months post flood.
My foot then proceeded to fall through part of the flooring in a totally different area in February due to poor installation (there's atleast an inch gap between the floor and concrete under it from uneven installation.It's all over my apartment really . They still refuse to fix this
After learning my apartment was illegal and never had permits/inspections I had fire/building inspectors come and they ordered multiple violations to be fixed immediately. Which my LL seems to have zero issue fixing those due to them being forced to. During one instance a contractor had parked in my designated spot, after asking him to leave multiple times he then escalated it into an argument about how he is working on my unit and can park in my spot, my LL then heard this and started yelling at me/harassing me saying the same thing her contractor said stating he will not move until his work is complete and that it's her house and I follow her rules. It wasn't until I pulled out my phone to record the situation that the contractor decided to move his vehicle.
The contractor then proceeded to have multiple smokes outside with my door off . That night I recieved an n5 for smoking outside myself (which I do) stating the LL witnessed me smoking ,the funny part is ,her contractor was standing with her outside having a smoke at the same time that I was. My lease Is also worded " no smoking anywhere IN the property" .
A few days after this a "security camera" was installed in the front corner of the house. This camera rotates 360° and follows my every movement from when it captures me from the road all the way to my side entrance door.
I've also recieved a bad faith n4 after reporting my illegal unit because I "failed to provide my COI" which I Infact did provide within the requested time limit
My unit also has smaller repairs the LL refuses to fix (ceiling vents only held in by wooden shims due to being improper size and falling periodically)
Aswell as constant nightly thuds/bangs and galloping from her cats "zoomies" that wake myself and my children up at all hours of the night.
My LL also refuses to.compensate for all the snow removal I did on behalf of her negligence to due so this past winter
I'm just really at a lost of what to do,I've filed a t2 with the LTB about this all but the issues continue to pile up
