Hello!
I am looking for critique on the map I made for a D&D supplement I am writing.
I want to make sure that, while in a setting that includes magic and divine influence, that the map is visually interesting (as it will be the first thing people see upon opening the book/document), makes sense in the context of being created by divine influence but still obeys most laws of nature, and makes sense geographically.
I want to eventually focus on the portion of the map shown in the second image so as to not overwhelm myself with a full world and to make sure that the worldbuilding within that portion is well done and as comprehensive as needed for the confines of D&D.
A few things to keep in mind:
This is a draft, so it is not yet fully fleshed out or filled. Once it is in a satisfactory state, I will move it from Inkarnate to Procreate in order to properly illustrate it.
The first image is far zoomed out, so it only portrays a broad mapping of mountains, major rivers, major lakes, settlements, and biomes. Hopefully what is included is sufficient to receive critique on the map itself, not any of the worldbuilding or culture within it quite yet.
The second image is also just a crop of the first, so it also lacks the intricate details that I will later include.
