Anyone else spending way more time on AI RP than “productive” AI tools lately?

I thought AI tools would mostly be for work stuff, summaries, coding, research, etc. But weirdly the only AI app I keep opening daily is AI RP/chat apps.

Most productivity AI feels useful for 10 minutes and then I close it. But RP feels different because it’s actually interactive and unpredictable. Sometimes you genuinely lose track of time because the conversations evolve instead of feeling like commands/prompts.

It still has problems obviously (memory/context consistency especially), but compared to most AI products right now, it feels way more immersive.

Curious if anyone else feels the same or if this is just a niche thing.

What’s one backpacking item you always bring, even though people say it’s unnecessary?

I’m always trying to pack lighter, but there’s usually one thing I can’t convince myself to leave behind not because it’s the most practical, but because it makes the experience more comfortable or gives me peace of mind.

For me, it’s an extra insulating layer, usually a lightweight puffy jacket. Curious what everyone else carries despite the whole ultralight mindset.
