Prior to the start of Stage 1, we ran our own little competition to find out which r/ValorantCompetitive user knows ball across all regions.

It was a relatively simple exercise; list your TOP 3s in Americas, EMEA and APAC, plus a few hot takes as tiebreakers.

Using the following metric, I was able to determine the most accurate preds here:

1 point for getting the correct team in top 3

0.5 bonus credit for getting the correct placement

0.5 credit for having the 4th place team in the list

Interesting facts:

• 0 people had Eternal Fire in their Top 3, despite the team ending 4th overall. They were thus the most unexpected team to place high in Stage 1.
• FNC appeared in 80% of submissions**, BBL** were at 70%, NS at a whopping 85%. This makes NS the most unexpected team to underperform in Stage 1.
• Only 3 predictions had TH in their top 3. No one had TH going 1st seed.
• u/lueukel was 1 of only 2 user that had FUT at all, and they were the only one who had FUT in the correct placement.
• u/Elkiiiii, u/MirrorCraze, u/Still_HD all had the highest scoring APAC preds (3.0)
• Only one user predicted all 3 Americas team correct. u/Fun_Will_2688 had G2/NRG/LEV, in the wrong order but all the right teams.
• Every single submission only had 1 eventual EMEA Top 3 in their submissions. u/washyrr is the only user who had 2 EMEA podium teams (VIT and TH). Most people had BBL/FNC instead.
• There were 8 Full Sense believers, but all of them had FS in 3rd place. No one had them in 2nd, which was where they eventually ended up.
• AMERICAS was the most predictable region overall with the highest average score. (1.80)
• EMEA was the least predictable region overall with the lowest average score. (0.9)
• APAC had the most predictable winner in PRX.

My inclination is to give it to u/BugCollector11 for having arguably the bigger upset and the objectively correct truth statement. But u/Fun_Will_2688's upset was also more consequential, and they might have beaten NS in playoffs.
