Traybake topping problem

Hi everyone, I was put on the spot and asked to make some bakes to be sold at garden party fundraising event for a charity. I don’t bake much these days and thought the most straightforward thing to do would be to make a batch of cookies and a traybake. For the traybake I decided on a recipe for coconut carrot slices and all seemed well until I cut it into portions and realised that the sugar, butter and coconut topping just falls off which is going to make it messy to serve and eat.
I haven’t got the time or ingredients to bake another one so I’m looking for suggestions of how to stabilise the topping. I was thinking maybe drizzling the top with water icing? Not sure if it’s relevant but I’m in the UK.

Gertie is in full bloom

I posted a few weeks ago about how I’d planted a Gertrude Jekyll rose that turned out to be taller than I expected. I came home on Friday from a few days away to find she’d burst into full bloom and they smell fabulous.

As a side note, I’m desperate for the end of this month so I can tackle the mad profusion that is the result of No Mow May!

I planted this Gertrude Jekyll rose a year or so ago and clearly didn’t read the label properly, I certainly didn’t realise quite how vigorously it’d grow. At this rate it’s going to be higher than the shed in another month or so! Anyone else made a rookie mistake like this? (I’ve been gardening for years so should know better.)
