Midori Sync: Midori is the first Gecko-based browser to have its own Sync.
Midori Sync Features.
- Developed in Laravel 13 with VueJS.
- Web and extension authentication via Authentik using Socialite.
- PostgreSQL persistence with Redis for cache/session/queue in Docker deployments.
- Extension with popup, options, setup, crypto library with libsodium, and adapters for multiple collections.
- Web dashboard with pages for dashboard, devices, collections, and settings.
- Midori Sync uses end-to-end encryption (E2EE). The server never has access to plaintext data. All encryption and decryption happens in the browser extension.
- We would like to make a very specific clarification: the system generates 12 seed words that the user must store very carefully, because if they are lost we cannot guarantee recovery between devices.
