I know most Mugolio is made with green pinecones but these all seem to be a muted brown or red. I assume this is part of the reason for it's namesake, but I can't find any info on whether they are appropriate for mugolio, given what seems to be tannin content. (Probably should have grabbed pics of the adult cones too)

Are these okay for making a batch of mugolio?
