Driving/walking post flat feet reconstruction surgery

I had reconstruction surgery on my right foot 03/17/26. Just last week I got the ok to begin putting weight on my foot with the support of the crutches and in the CAM boot. My podiatrist said in a few days I can try walking without the crutches and in 2 weeks try walking in a shoe. She also said I can begin driving in 2 weeks. It’s honestly been weird and a little painful just walking. If walking has felt difficult, I can’t imagine how driving will be. What have been others experience when beginning to walk and drive again? How long did it take to feel somewhat comfortable/normal when walking and driving?
