Turn based mechanics transposed to a conversational system

Hey everyone!

I'm working on a Life simulation game and try really hard to step away from the classic Sims pie menu. I want it to be immersive with a 3rd view camera and real time interactions so I thought the best way to achieve it would be to consider social interactions as a confrontation (like Flyting in AC Valhalla, or how Hercule Poirot can break the other characters shield in the Agatha Christie series to get the answer he's looking for, etc).

The thing is, all I can find when looking for such mechanics is related to Turn based combat games and even tho it can be seen as a combat, I can't find anything related to the mechanic itself as a system and how to break it down to make it work as intended in my game.

Do you have any recommandation as to where I could find such info?

And secondly, I found a comment in another thread about a game called "Signs of the Sojourner". The deck system seems interesting and looks a lot like what I'm trying to build (minus the cards as they would just be feasible actions and interactions in plain text). Do you know of any other games using something similar for social interactions?

And of course, if you have any other idea that could help me, feel free to share :)

Thx all!
