My husband and I will be visiting the Peloponnese the end of this month. We are undecided about our routes from Kalamata to Olympia - please offer some advice.

Coastal Route: Kalamata → Pylos → Marathopoli → Kyparissia → Olympia

OR

Mountain Heartland Route: Kalamata → Messene →Megalopoli → Karytaina → Andritsaina (Temple of Epicurean Apollo) → Olympia

OR

A mix of both i.e. Kalamata → Messene → Pylos and travel up the coast

OR Kalamata → Messene → Meligalas → coast → Olympia

Any insight would be appreciated. BTW - we are in our 70s, comfortable driving in new areas, love both the ocean and the mountains.
