I'm trying to recall a recent anime based on a line of dialogue
"I wish you'd stop saying 'sorry' when what you really mean is 'thank you.'"
Unfortunately, I'm aware this is kind of generic. This isn't even the first time I've heard the platitude (probably the first time in anime though), but it was said in this anime in a way that stuck with me, and I want to go back and find it.
The best way I can narrow it down is that I'm fairly certain its from anime in the past year, two tops. The line of dialogue was said from one female character to another, with a tone of friendly admonishment, and the tone of the scene was somewhat emotional. That kind of "end of the episode denouement" kind of feel. I'm pretty sure it was in the kind of realm of like, "Jellyfish can't swim in the night," "Apocalypse Hotel," maybe "Girls Band Cry" but it doesn't fit any of those characters.
Given its such a generic line from a not super recent anime, I'm basically banking on it sticking with someone else the same way it did me. Thanks for reading.
