To not waste anyone's time:

I'm 27, active but not military fit yet (will be by mid-August). I'm FREC (pre-hospital care) level 4 qualified and I have FPV drone experience as a hobbyist. English is my only language. No military experience.

I'm looking to apply in mid-August to arrive for training in September.

I'm looking to do a FPV drone role (technical or piloting) but equally I am not overly fussed if it is a combat medical position.

My questions:

How did you tell your family and friends that this is something you were doing? It's a conversation I am absolutely dreading.

What units would you recommend? I've been looking at joining Flash as an FPV pilot but I imagine positions are competitive.
