I’ve been analyzing how crucial a good thumbnail is for mobile users, especially in high-competition niches like Tech and Gaming. I decided to redesign a couple of concepts focusing on depth, clean typography, and better contrast to see how much it improves readability at smaller sizes.

As you can see in the image attached, adding better lighting and realistic elements makes the core subject pop way more.
